These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ceylon Net's hosting services ("Services"). Please read them carefully before using our Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Important: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ceylon Net. Please ensure you understand and accept these Terms before using our Services.

Description of Services

Ceylon Net provides web hosting services, cPanel Shared Hosting, and related products (collectively, the "Services").

Payment Terms

You agree to pay all fees specified in your order for the Services. All payments are due immediately and are non-refundable, except as stated in our refund policy. Ceylon Net may suspend or terminate Services if fees are unpaid.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new hosting accounts. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days, we will provide a full refund of the hosting fees.

Refunds are not applicable for domain registrations, setup fees, or additional services.

Billing occurs on a recurring monthly or annual basis as chosen at purchase. Services automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

Manage your billing preferences and subscriptions through your account dashboard.

Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Ceylon Net is not liable for losses or damages resulting from failure to secure your account.

Security Best Practices:

Use a strong, unique password for your account
Enable two-factor authentication when available
Do not share your login credentials with others
Log out from shared devices after use

Content Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content uploaded, published, or displayed via our Services. You agree not to use our Services for content that:

Is unlawful, harmful, abusive, hateful, defamatory, or offensive
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
Impersonates individuals or entities

Ceylon Net reserves the right to remove objectionable content and terminate accounts violating these Terms.

Prohibited Content

We strictly prohibit:

Illegal Activities

Promotion of unlawful acts or harmful content

Adult Content

Pornography or sexually explicit material

Phishing & Fraud

Sites designed to deceive or defraud users

Pirated Content

Warez, torrents, or illegal downloads

Hacking Tools

Malware, viruses, or hacking resources

Gambling Sites

Lottery, betting, or gambling platforms

Violation Consequences:

Immediate Suspension

Accounts hosting prohibited content may be suspended without notice.

Contest Suspension

Users may submit a support ticket to contest suspension.

Termination

Failure to remove offending content may lead to permanent account termination without refund.

Uptime Guarantee

Ceylon Net guarantees 99% server uptime. If uptime falls below 99% in a month, you may be eligible for an account credit under our Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Ceylon Net guarantees 99% uptime for all hosting services.

If uptime falls below our SLA, customers may request service credits (not cash refunds) by contacting our support team.

Termination

Ceylon Net may terminate or suspend access to Services at any time without notice for violations of these Terms or harmful conduct.

In the event of termination, you will lose access to all data and content hosted on our servers. We recommend maintaining regular backups of your data.

Limitation of Liability

Ceylon Net's liability is limited. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, revenue loss, or other intangible losses arising from your use of our Services.

Our Liability is Limited To:

  • The amount paid by you for the Services in the preceding 3 months
  • Service credits for uptime issues as specified in our SLA

Changes

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Materiality is determined at Ceylon Net's discretion.

Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka.

Dispute Resolution:

In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve it through good faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
